CleanEarth completed the installation of a 145kWp rooftop Solar PV system at Bikold Foodservice, the chilled, frozen and ambient food distributor based in Shropshire. On an annual basis, the system will generate 117,650kWh of FREE electricity for BIKOLD and save 50,600Kg of carbon.
Bikold were established over 40 years ago and operate out of a modern, well equipped unit on Ludlow Business Park, central to their distribution footprint of Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire & Mid Wales.
On an annual basis, the Solar PV installation will generate 117,650kWh of FREE electricity for BIKOLD and save 50,600Kg of carbon – resulting in 1,191 tonnes of carbon savings over the lifetime of the system.
Investing in a Solar PV installation makes good business sense for businesses with high electricity consumption such as BIKOLD who can reduce their import electricity consumption by using the generated solar electricity on-site, get paid for any unused electricity which is exported to the National Grid and receive the Government feed-in-tariff.
