Homeleigh is one of the South West’s leading garden centres, established in 1983 and with over 40 departments and 80 members of staff.
CleanEarth were commissioned to install a 370kWp solar array using over 1500 PV modules. The installation was spread over five roofs which are a mixture of cement fibre and box profile. At the client’s request, Cleanearth worked around the skylights in the retail area to allow natural light in during the day.
CleanEarth undertook all aspects of the design and installation, utilising our in house team of experienced engineers and installers. We liaised with Western Power to arrange the grid upgrade work to be carried out and coordinated our installation accordingly.
“The three quarters of an acre roof has been turned from wasted space into a mini power station for Homeleigh Garden Centre, which now generates over 330,000kWh of electricity that they are using for free.”
- Ben Lawrenson, Commercial Manager, CleanEarth
