CLEAN EARTH COMPLETES A GROUND-MOUNT INSTALL AT LANOYCE NURSERIES

Lanoyce Nurseries is an independent wholesale nursery business committed to creating a positive environment, and to protecting itself from rising electricity costs and long term energy security. The business supplies customers including Sainsbury, Co-Op and Aldi and has an on-going commitment to improving its environmental standards.

CleanEarth (CE) designed a Solar PV system to optimise an area of redundant steep land – of minimal value to the core nursery business. CE secured planning permission and worked with the client and local Distribution Network Operator (DNO) to overcome a number of technical challenges while managing the process from planning to commissioning.

This installation is a  103kW system, which consists of 396 panels. The system has an output of 105,000kWh- sufficient to power 30 homes per year, and will save 20,000kg of CO2 per annum. The solar electricity generated will be consumed on site, with any surplus being exported to the grid.

Brian Rickard, Owner at Lanoyce Nurseries:

“I take our environmental responsibility very seriously and this Solar PV installation demonstrates making that commitment can also make sound financial sense for businesses.”

This is another excellent solar installations commissioned by CE over the past few months. CE continue to be extremely active in developing solar PV and wind turbine projects, offering our clients robust and secure financial investments, whilst simultaneously making a very positive contribution to the environment.
