We stand on the edge of a new frontier for the renewable industry. Future market evolution is no longer led by government policy, but by progressive businesses who recognise an environmental responsibility.

Since the Paris Agreement and groups such as the RE100, consumer opinion on responsibility to the environment and climate change is making the wider market more aware of the actions they can take.

CleanEarth (CE) has established through research that the environmental benefits of renewable systems are paramount during the decision process. In a recent commercial review with a large corporation, the acceptability of a higher Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a clear example of a priority towards securing environmental benefits.  In this scenario, the corporation will benefit from long term energy price security in addition to the green credentials.

Environmental responsibility was clearly demonstrated amongst SMEs in CE’s 2016 Energy Report. The research established that 88% of businesses polled recognised their environmental responsibility, and the necessity to help combat climate change.
