IMERYS Pines Tip Solar Farm, St Austell, Cornwall
Installation Type: Solar Farm
Installation Size: 6MW
CleanEarth are proposing to develop a 6MW solar farm on land at Pines Tip, Penhale, St Austell.
The solar farm is expected to produce over 6,000,000 kWh annually – enough electricity to power more than 1,300 Cornish homes* – and will save over 1,700 tonnes of carbon per year.
The project is located atop an old spoil heap within the St Austell china clay area, where it will be sheltered away from almost all key viewpoints, minimising any visual impact.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we will not be able to follow our standard practice of running a formal consultation.
We therefore encourage people to submit any questions via email at PinesTipSolar@cleanearthenergy.com, or through the form below.
Alternatively, to discuss the proposal in more detail, call Robin Johnson (CleanEarth’s Head of Environmental Planning) on 07545 898245 (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday).
