FAQs

When considering the size, weight, and shape of the components, road is the only realistic option for transport between Wick Harbour and the windfarm site.

The route to Tacher Wind Farm was determined based on the limited number of roads suitable for the scale of the blade components.

Regular updates will be provided here, and we recommend following live updates on the CleanEarth LinkedIn page. CleanEarth deeply appreciates that local traffic may still be affected and that there will be parking restrictions, and are grateful for the patience of local residents.

In the event of emergency services trying to pass the hauliers, the driver will move aside. Each delivery will be accompanied by a police escort in co-ordination with 999 services. Should a call be made to 999 all respective control rooms will cooperate on the location of the component loads and movements of the vehicle.

Each delivery will be accompanied by a police escort in coordination with 999 services. In the event that you are making emergency travel during the delivery window (e.g. medical emergency) and are disrupted, please call through to 999. The respective control rooms will cooperate on the location of the component loads and movements of the vehicle.

There are no planned road closures or diversions for the duration of the deliveries. CleanEarth appreciates however that there are likely to be delays and fewer passing opportunities for those travelling during the delivery windows; we would like to extend our understanding to any residents or businesses effected.

Minor traffic management may be required to reinstate street furniture that has been temporarily removed to accommodate the deliveries.
