The Proposed Development:
CleanEarth is proposing to develop three wind turbines and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on land at West Dykehead Farm, Strathaven, South Lanarkshire, ML10 6RF.
The turbines would have a maximum tip height of 150m and a generating capacity of up to 5MW each and the proposed BESS would have an installed capacity of up to 16MW, giving a total installed capacity of up to 31MW.
The Site:
The site is located on the western side of Hawkwood Hill, approximately 6km south of Strathaven.
It lies within an area that already contains operational and consented wind farms.
Further information and Questions:
No planning application has been submitted at this stage. This webpage will be updated as the Proposed Development progresses, and public consultation events are expected to take place in early 2027.
