The Proposed Development:
CleanEarth is proposing to develop five wind turbines on land at East Merkland Farm, Strathaven, South Lanarkshire, ML10 6PR.
The turbines would have a maximum tip height of 150m and a generating capacity of up to 5MW each, giving a total installed capacity of up to 25MW.
The Site:
The site is located across the northern and upper western slopes of Middle Rig hill, approximately 3.5km south of Strathaven.
It lies within an area that already contains operational and consented wind farms.
Further information and Questions:
No planning application has been submitted at this stage. This webpage will be updated as the Proposed Development progresses, and public consultation events are expected to take place in early 2027.
