North Court Farm, Monmouthshire
Installation Type: Single Wind Turbine
Installation Size: 4.5 MW
CleanEarth are proposing to develop a single wind turbine, with a tip height of up to 150m, on land at North Court Farm, Redwick, Caldicot, Monmouthshire.
The proposal has an estimated annual energy yield of 8.0 GWh; the equivalent of powering 2,400 homes in Monmouthshire. The project will save in excess of 1,700 tonnes of carbon annually with a predicted lifetime saving of almost 59,500 tonnes – making a significant contribution to Wales’s target of 70% of energy consumption being delivered through renewable sources by 2030.
The proposed site falls within the Magor with Undy community council and will provide a community benefit fund for the local community.
A public consultation will be held in early 2023. The Environmental Statement and all associated reports will be accessible on the CleanEarth website, and comments/questions can be submitted via an online questionnaire during and up to 14 days following the event.
