Businesses up and down the area have been working with CleanEarth Energy to take down their carbon footprint and electricity bills. The Wiltshire Council is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2030, and the county has already reduced its direct emissions by 9,659 tonnes since 2019. At CleanEarth Energy, we’ve seen this effort first hand through our clients.
We’ve provided systems ranging across a range of industries, from pharmaceutical to brush manufacturing. Read about our key projects below, to get a taste of how solar could impact your business.

Hillbrush
Hillbrush are a long-standing CleanEarth client, with now four rounds of solar installed on their rooftop for an annual generation of 752,000kWh. This clean solar electricity saves Hillbrush roughly 223 tonnes of Scope 2 emissions each year – supporting their work as a Climate Partner certified business.

Wilton Carpets
Wilton Carpets, through the support of the Wiltshire Net Zero Grant Scheme, installed 308 solar panels on one of England’s oldest industrial sites. Wilton Carpets showcased the flexibility of solar; renewable energy can be designed to accommodate unique site requirements, whilst still bringing results. Wilton Carpets have already reached 150,000kWh of generation before their one year anniversary, exceeding original estimates.

Thamesdown Recycling
Thamesdown Recycling are the second member of The Recycling Association to install solar with CleanEarth. Their 300kW system will generate 278,000kWh per annum, reducing their carbon footprint by 53 annual tonnes of CO2e. These reductions will grow to 1,266 tonnes across the system’s 25-year span.

Audience Systems
This was another project supported by the Net Zero Grant Scheme; Audience Systems Ltd installed 400 panels on their rooftop for an annual generation of 157,000kWh and 30 tonnes of annual Scope 2 emissions reductions.

CI Precision
CI Precision have a clientele of 25 of the world’s top 30 pharmaceutical companies, and to keep the scale of their operations more sustainable they opted for 270,000kWh of annual solar generation on their rooftop. Their new system will create lifetime Scope 2 reductions of 270 tonnes, and over £150,000 in energy cost savings over the system’s 25-year span.
Wiltshire businesses are seeing the impacts of solar every day. With each project, the county’s carbon footprint goes further down and our clients see crucial reductions on their energy bills. As non-commodity costs rise like TNUoS charges and business rates, renewable electricity can provide energy at a fixed predictable cost that comes with less grid reliance.
