In 2019 Cornwall Council set their target to be the first Net Zero county. At CleanEarth, we’ve been supporting Cornwall every step of the way. As providers of wind and solar installations up and down the UK, our Cornish projects represent our dedication to our home county – saving thousands of tonnes of CO2e and helping businesses further their own sustainability goals.
We’ve completed a number of key projects for major Cornish names, including; Rodda’s, Healey’s Cyder Farm, Varfell Farms, and Celtic & Co. These projects range from large-scale ground mounts, to rooftop systems installed in phases to suit business needs. Learn more about Cornwall’s charge to Net Zero with some of our Kernow projects:

Rodda’s, The Creamery
This 966kWp ground mounted system 1,680 solar panels, navigating 4 fenced off mine shafts to save this legacy Cornish brand 22 annual tonnes of CO2e and £114,000 in annual energy cost savings.

Healey’s Cyder Farm
Healey’s’ 538kWp system expanded on existing renewable energy projects to take carbon savings to the next level, with over 2,000 tonnes of lifetime reductions.

Varfell Farms
For the largest daffodil supplier in the world, our in-house team installed a 462kWp system that will generate 460,000kWh of annual clean electricity. After Varfell Farms experienced previous grid delays, our team stepped in to get this project off the ground as efficiently as possible – providing 90 tonnes of annual Scope 2 emissions reductions through solar.

Verdant Brewing Co
Verdant wanted a system that would complement the overall impact of the building, and with wider refurbishments underway we coordinated with their contractors to ensure this 67kWp system was installed seamlessly. The resulting PV system is saving Verdant Brewing Co 18 tonnes of Scope 2 carbon emissions each year.

Bluntrock Brewery
A new build means new opportunities to embed sustainability; working with us right from the building’s design phase, Bluntrock installed a 87kWp system across two phases of installations.

Keltek Brewery
When their brewery was undergoing refurbishment, Keltek Brewery’s carbon footprint was a key priority; leading them to install this 122kWp solar system.

Celtic & Co (Refined Brands)
After achieving B-Corp status, Refined Brands installed a 81kWp system at their Celtic & Co site, to take their sustainability even further with 18,000kG of annual CO2e reductions.

St Austell Printing Company
Split across two rooftops, this 150kWp solar installation adds 1,125 of lifetime CO2e reductions to St Austell Printing Company’s long-term sustainability plan.

St Eval Recycling Centre
This three acre solar farm has a capacity of 620kW, with 2,400 solar panels installed carefully out of view of a listed church to protect the area, and energy supplied via PPA.

Feritech Global
Key to their new building was environmental responsibility and self-sufficiency, and their 237kWp solar system utilised almost the entire roof to future proof against future increased energy loads.

Allen & Heath (Audiotonix)
Based in Penryn, Falmouth, not far from CleanEarth’s Cornwall HQ, their 132 kW system generates electricity for 4.2p per kWh compared with the 17p per kWh they were paying for energy from the grid.

W Harvey and Sons
Installed at their Penzance site, this 120kWp system is supporting W Harvey and Sons in their 100% renewable electricity goal – forecast to cover roughly 60% of their energy usage.

Country Lane Foods
Operating since 1993, Country Lane Foods process millions of eggs every week, including for their eco-friendly Birds and The Bees range. Wanting to power these operations more sustainably, they installed a 132kWp solar PV system for 27 tonnes of annual Scope 2 emissions reductions.
